The professional foundation course《Nutrition and Diseases》 is taught to students in the School of International Education.Nutrition is the study of nutrients in food, how the body uses them, and the relationship between nutrition and diseases. This course systematically teach the relevant concepts and methods of nutrition.The course helps you to reach healthy diet by providing nutrition knowledge in daily food choice. After finishing this course, students will have deeper understanding in basic nutrition knowledge, the relationship between nutrition and diseases; be able to establish a good eating habits based on scientific concept.
《Nutrition and Diseases》 as a professional foundation course,through this course, students will be guided to promote a healthy lifestyle and attitude towards life, helping them to stay away from these common and abhorrent chronic diseases. From now on, we will establish the concept of healthy and environmentally friendly living, and understand the importance of "health first, disease prevention".The main feature is to meet the basic requirements of "double foundation" teaching, with complete curriculum standards, teaching plan, teaching schedule, teaching calendar, student production practice syllabus and other documents
1.The ability to understand the relationship between Nutrition and Diseases , and develop balance diets based on the knowledge learns in the course;
2.The ability to understand basic knowledge of nutrition, nutrition and cancer, food-borne diseases, food contamination, intestinal flora and diseases, dietary patterns and nutrient deficiencies, and other related diseases associated with nutrition;
3.The ability to identify and interpret nutritional information and improve prevention capacity.
Knowledge of high school chemistry and biology is required to take the Nutrition and Disease course.
